It always seemed like he was getting more attention than others in his own group. He even debuted with another group leaving his group still undebuted. He was not sure if he had made the right choice by going to Tokyo and leaving them back in Osaka. Those questions had been bothering him for the whole time he was on his way to the Music Station Christmas Special. He sighed as he walked lazily towards the dressing room selfishly expecting the other two boys would be there instead of with their group.
“Daijoubu, Yuma-kun is going to be just fine.” He heard a familiar voice from his dressing room. “He’ll lose some energy but when he sees the crowd he’s going to forget he is sick. But I know he is not ill, just a little disturbed. He’s not used to having a lot in his mind.” The voice said again. The voice that he used to confide in. His niichan.
“What’s going on?” He tried to act as casually as he could as he entered the room seeing eight pairs of eyes looked at him. The man with the voice earlier rose as he smiled gently upon the younger ones.
He edged towards the younger one who was frozen at the doorway. “Yuma-kun wa daijoubu desho?” He spoke as he faced the younger man. Yuma just nodded.
It was almost immediately he bowed to his friends. “Gomen nasai.” He spoke with a broken voice. He was torn between two. He would spilt himself if he could. The bond he had with the kansai boys were unbreakable, yet it was being stretched to its volatile point. The newly joint tie he had made with the two kanto boys were just beginning to get stronger and precious to him.
“You don’t have to choose, you know. We are still in the same industry, we are still doing the same thing. Only we are not doing it together, yet.” The older man spoke as he brought Yuma’s body back to a standing position. “Orera nakama dayo.” He said.
“Shige-nii.” A whisper like voice escaped from Yuma’s lips.
“Shige-nii janee yo.” Shigeoka Daiki said as he slapped Yuma’s head playfully which caused an eruption of laughter from the other boys. “You made them worry. You made Yamada-kun worried sick about you being too quiet and worrying about stupid things.”
“Yuma-kun baka.” Chinen finally spoke. His eyes were glassy, and tears were about to spill from his eyes. Yuma was not sure what was it that brought them together but he was glad it did. He had both his family there. He had them all these time but he did not realize it. He had them in spirits and emotion even when they are not physically there with him.
