Characters/Pairings: UchiDa
He was wrong for what he did. He regretted it far more now than ever. As for the reason, maybe it was attention that he craved. It began the year before last when he first talked to the older boy. He did not seem to be much older than him but he was really three years older than himself.
He too was awkward back then. No one ever sees him as his age. Not only because of his stature, but also because of the costume he was made to wear. He were always being shadowed by the mask that he hides within. All he really wanted was to be seen as who he is. Not by everyone. Not by anyone either. Just by him. He wanted to talk to him again, but since that time too much things had happen. To many lies and deceits had come out from him and everyone else.
He wrapped his hands around his knees as the cool wind blew strongly against his face. Out of the blue a blanket came and wrapped him, keeping him from the cold. “It doesn’t mean that you’re not going to see me anymore.” The soft voice were music to his ears.
“I’ll be going off tomorrow, I have nothing left here.” The younger one sulked.
“What about me?” The other asked as he uncoils his hands from the other. “I thought we had something special between us. I thought you liked me.” He breathed heavily, wrapping the coat on his back tighter to his body. The slim slander body of the young one trembled. Not because of the cold nor was it because of the wind. “Uchi.” The older spoke. Instead of replying, Uchi just buried his face between his knees. “I love you.”
Uchi picked his face up and looked at the man beside him. “Then teach me how to love you. Teach me how to live. Teach me… just show me that I’m fit to love you. Tatsuya, teach me. Teach me how to be a man.”
“You are drunk.” The man beside him uttered softly as he agreed. He just needed to agree to get him out of the cold. He needed to protect him. He could not bear the younger one suffering from any more pain of disappointment.
The younger one was much taller than him, he could not figure it out himself how he could have picked him up and drove him home. His home. A place that they both are safe. Away from the media. Away from everything.
Eight hours he had him to himself. Tending him. “Hey.” Was the first thing that Uchi said when he got up. His eyes squinting as the sun were bright through the window of his room. “Why are we here?” He asked.
Ueda just smiled. “Because you wanted me to teach you how to love me.” Ueda answered simply. Uchi shook his head, he under stood what the younger one meant. A sly smirk appeared on his face. “Because you needed me.” Ueda said as he climbed up beside him.
His skin felt so right somehow. The warmth. The smell of sweat with a little tinge left of his perfume from the other night. Ueda traced Uchi’s body lightly with his fingers. “I’m sorry, for causing you so much trouble. I’m always troubling everyone.”
“You’re never trouble.” Ueda uttered. “Not for me.” He said as the mobile on the side table vibrated. ‘Kamenashi’ it reads on the screen. Ueda just pressed the reject button as he turned his attention back to Uchi.
Uchi smiled. Feeling a little proud. He was important after all. “What you said yesterday.” Uchi started. Ueda looked at him a little lost. “What you said to me yesterday. Do you mean it?” The older man blushed a little.
“You were drunk and half asleep, I doubt you heard me right.” Ueda tried to duck away from his own words from the night before.
Uchi smiled cheekily. “I was pretending to be drunk, I was too sad to think properly and you were there, was more like it.” He replied. “I have not touched the poison since the day I was caught.” He said somehow finding the strength to wrap his arm around the older one. “Why were you on the roof anyway?”
“I was looking for some silence.” Ueda replied. “I needed to escape reality. I needed to escape the noise. And I found you.” He continued. “Why were you crying?” Ueda countered. The young boy took a deep breath as she squirmed a little. “Are you okay? Am I hurting you?” Uchi just shook his head. “You want me to teach you how to love me, don’t you?” Ueda teased.
The young man crimsoned. “There’s more than just the drinking habit that I took up.” Uchi began. His eyes starts to water a little. “When they announced my suspension, the first thing that came into my mind was that I might not see you again. And I never thought that it was because of my drinking habit.” He explained. “I needed the extra money back then, and I could not get enough of street fighting.”
“There is no bruises on your body.” Ueda said with a hint of disbelief in his voice.
Uchi just smiled. “I’ve never been this fair in my life.” He giggled as he straighten up and got up from the bed. His body were sore all over but he did not want Ueda to know the truth about himself. “It’s just make up.” He said as he got into the shower.
Ten minutes he waited. Then twenty. The older one shook his head as he trailed the younger one. The hot water steam filled the bathroom. “Hirokun, don’t you think it’s been too long?” Ueda called as he opened the unlocked bath room. In the bath, a body full of bruised and recently healed cuts laid lifeless. “What have you done to yourself, Hiroki?” Ueda spoke to himself as he picked the younger boy out from the bath.

“Tatsuya?” Uchi’s voice were hoarse and uncertain. Yet it was the first thing that came to his mind. The first word that his mouth uttered. His body was still sore yet, it was better than the day before.
The older man did not need to answer with his voice. All he did was a soft squeeze letting the younger one know that he’s been there all along. “Does it still hurt?” Ueda questioned. Uchi just shook his head. “Don’t lie Hiroki.” He warned. “You can trust me, you can tell me what happened.”
Uchi just shook his head. Ueda knew something was wrong yet he did not want to push the younger one. He wanted Uchi to tell him willingly. Though he wanted to, he could not bring himself to tell Ueda he truth about himself. About his past, about his problems. He did not want to burden the man as what he had already done to his best friend.
“You won’t leave me will you?” Uchi uttered his worries. Ueda just smiled. “Promise me you’ll never leave me.” He said as his heart started to race and the monitor that is monitoring his heart were beeping. “Tatsuya-kun.”
Ueda panicked yet he façade a calm fascia. “I’ll be right here.” He said letting go of Uchi’a hand. Only the lord know how broken he felt just then. How his heart was crushes into pieces knowing the horrific truth about the person that he had grown to like and love.
”It’s been awhile since I’ve seen Uchi-kun.” The greying doctor spoke. “He might not seem like it, but certain pressure sure could trigger his unstable emotions. He’s lucky to have a friend like you.” He smiled a sour sympathetic smile.
Ueda still could not understand the doctor. “What is wrong with him?” He questioned.
“Well, it’s better for him to tell you that. But one thing I can tell you is that he did not have a normal childhood. Sometimes, pressure and sudden changes can trigger it and this is his way of rebelling against his pain.”
Ueda shut his eyes as he sat down beside the sleeping man. “You asked me to teach you how to love.” Ueda began as he sat and held his young lover’s hand. “You have to wake up and talk to me. You have to open up to me. You have to love me and return my trust.” He sighed. “But really, there is nothing to teach, because I love you already.”
A soft squeeze responded to his words. “I’m sorry.” Uchi started. “I’m just too scared to lose you.”
“You can never lose me.” Ueda whispered softly as he crept up quietly on the hospital bed beside Uchi. “There might be time you will not see me for days but I’ll always be here in you.” He said lying his hand on the younger’s chest. His hear raced a little but not too much. “And I’ll always be with you in spirits, no matter what.” He said as he planted a long, lushes, rich kiss on the younger’s lips.
