The soft pelting rain flew him to a land where there is no hurt, no pain and no joy. The land where one do not feel nor have feeling for anything. Just empty. A land where nothing is real. A land called dream.

He misses the feel of sand underneath his feet. The sound of the crashing waves upon the golden sandy beach. The sound of people just being without any care in the world under the bath of the soft ray of the sun. He breathed heavily upon the glass pane that divides him from the place he calls world causing a thin layer of mist against it.

As the thin mist disappear gradually, he saw a small figure walking towards the building he was in, drenched from head to toe. He was just another friend. Or at least that was what he told him. He was a friend.

"Don't you ever scare the hell out of me like that ever again." The smaller man barged into the room without even saying hello, hugging his friend dearly. "Are you hurt? Are you feeling any pain at all?" He question one after another as he checked his hands and face. "Okura say something." he said shaking his bigger friend out of the trance he was under.

Okura's face was blank. Void of any emotions. He did not want for his friend to know his feelings. He would never want to hurt him in any way. He managed to shook his head quietly and softly, telling the smaller man he is fine. If it was up to him. He wanted to scream out loud that he loves him. He loves everything about him. "Smile." his voice cracked. "Please Yasu, smile for me."

"Huh?" Yasuda looked at him questioningly.

Okura sat back a little, making a small gap between them. "I wanted to see the sun. I wanted to feel free and just feel the warm sun." He began to explain. "I could not find them. I could not find the right beach. I could not find the right moment. I could not find the sun even when the heat was piercing my skin." A trickled of warm tear traced the sunburnt cheek of Okura.

Gently with the pad of his thumb, Yasuda wiped the tear away. "Everything is going to be fine." He said warmly. “Sometimes thing does not need to be perfect.” He coaxed softly as he carves the smile that Okura yearned for. “Let’s just get better and we can go and find the beach together when the rain stops.”

Okura shook his head. “I realized that no beach will ever be the same without you. No warmth will ever be as warm as you and no sun shines as bright as your smile.” He replied looking straight outside, his eyes were void of emotions and his voice was on the verge of breaking.

Yasuda cupped Okura chin gently, forcing him to look in his eyes, “So I’ll go with you so that all the beaches will feel right, I’ll always be with you, Tacchon.” He whispered gently. “I’ll be with you as long as you need me.”

“Then don’t leave me. Don’t you ever leave me.” Okura pleaded. The air beside him felt empty. As he opens his eyes, he could no longer see the little figure that was just with him. The figure that once promised him forever. “You promised me that you would never leave me.” Okura sank to his knees.

The day was warm and bright. A small figure sat alone on the white sandy beach as he hugged his knees near to his chest. Trail of tears was apparent, yet it was quickly wiped as he heard a person approaching.

“Yasu.” He heard a voice called his name. “Where did you go all month? Where did you disappear to? What’s wrong with your phone?” The very familiar voice questioned him ceaselessly. “Hey are you listening to me?” The voice asked with a slight hint of annoyance.

“Shota.” Another voice approached them. A very warm and gentle one. The one that took care of him in secret. The one that kept his secret. The one that he trusted the most. “You are not supposed to be out here.” He said as he quickly approached the older one.

Yasuda just shook his head, declining the help from his friend. “I’ve been in hiding long enough Ryo. He needs to know. He is my friend too.” Yasuda said softly but stubbornly. “Tacchon deserve to know the truth. I thank you for all your help all these while, but he is still the one that owns my heart.” He said, even as he knew the younger one was nearing him. “As long as it beats.”

Nishikido was drenched from head to toe as he entered the room that was engulfed with glum. Hanging his wet clothes to dry, he was bore down to only his shorts and white singlet. He could see the dimmed light in the next room. Sighing, he made his way to the younger man.

“Are you okay?” Ryo questioned gently from the doorway. The room was scattered with pictures of his best friend. “I miss him too you know.” He said quietly as he made his way towards the man. On his way, he collected the scattered pictures and gathered them on the table. Gently he wrapped his arms around the broken man and shared the pain that they both were bearing.

There were no more tears to cry. There was only numbness left in him. He saw everything. He was there through every scream and every attack there was. He saw his best friend being prodded and tested countless times, he even saw him as white as a ghost, yet he could never be saved.

He too felt the loss. Softly with the pad of his thumb, he wiped away the stream of tears that stained the younger one’s face. “I can never be him and I will never try to be. But he is no longer with us, Tacchon. Shota would never want to see you like this. He would hate it to see you beating yourself up for the things that are inevitable. Burning yourself in the hottest day, keeping yourself in here, not eating and not sleeping. He never wanted you to know because he wanted you to remember him as he was. The cheerful and bright sun that he was.”

His chest heaved as he opened his eyes to see a very worried face in front of him. “Can I ask for a final favor, Ryo?” he questioned. What else could the younger man answer, but with a nod. “I want to see the sunset for the final time, can you help me up?” He asked.

Nishikido hesitated. He knew if he does what he was asked, it was going to be the last time he will be with his friend. Yet, he does not want to regret not doing the simplest request from his friend. “Sure.” Was all he could choke out.

He supported the smaller man as they sat on the sand. The orange glow of the sunset was just perfect. It was perfect for everyone else besides them. “You know. Tacchon once sat with me and we saw this sunset. I wonder if he could see this now. I wonder how would he remember me.” Yasuda uttered as his voice were getting less and less audible. “I wish for him to remember me as the day that we saw this sunset. The smiling and healthy me. His own private sun.” Yasuda said as he rested for the last time on Nishikido’s chest.

“It was his last wish for you to remember this.” Nishikido said forcing the younger one outside. Coercing him to re-live the perfect day when Yasuda placed the band that bonded them. “He was your private sun. He will always be with you. He is with you.” He said as he wrapped his arms around the younger one and let Okura lay his head on his shoulder. “Your own personal sun.” He said as they both let their pain dimmed as the sun sets away.
